Mosaic is seeking a mature and enthusiastic person to bring leadership to our Creative Ministries in our gatherings and events.

Mosaic is a large regional Church with a multi-site / multi congregational model of operation with 5 congregations across three sites. Our aim is to create vibrant and engaging gatherings, in diverse congregational contexts.

This is a central ministry role delivering support and creative input across Mosaic through worship, music and the creative arts such as drama, dance, visual arts and creative use of space.

The Director of Creative Ministries will primarily supervise and support the creative ministry team, assist in the creation and delivery of weekly services and will enhance our services through a variety of creative input.

Leadership

  • You are a self-aware leader knowing your strengths and growth areas
  • You have proven ability to lead individuals and teams
  • You have experience providing leadership in a dynamic environment
  • You have the ability to delegate

Equipping

  • You are able to support and teach others
  • You have the capacity to develop others’ skills and growth
  • You have the ability to identify and cultivate the potential in others and a positive team culture
  • You are able to identify, raise-up and support future leaders

Creative ability / Musicianship

  • You have a proven record of creative expression in a church context
  • You have a level of musical ability to enhance the skill of the worship team

Organised

  • You have proven ability in effective time management
  • You have good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • You have competent computer skills with the ability to use Microsoft applications as a minimum requirement
  • You are organised and able to perform a variety of administration tasks such as rosters and coordinating a large team

Well-developed people skills

  • Proven ability to manage a large diverse team of volunteers
  • Capacity to collaborate and consult with various leaders, e.g. Tech team, Dance, Media Production, Pastors etc.
  • An understanding of how communities and individuals engage with God within a local church context

A dedicated follower of Jesus

  • Your life is centered on Jesus and all aspects of your life are impacted by this

Desirable

  • Formal theological or creative ministries training
  • Previous local church ministry and experience
  • Experience working within a team ministry
  • Experience using Planning Centre and/or Easy Worship
  • Experience in other areas such as graphic design or communications within mid size organisation

The role is for 3.5 days per week and paid in accordance with Baptist Association guidelines subject to experience, skills, and qualifications.
