Mosaic is a community that is passionate about investing in young people.
We are blessed to have a vibrant community of youth, who love getting together to have fun and do life with each other.
We also have an amazing leadership team – people who are passionate about hanging out with youth and helping them explore how to live life to the full.
Weekly Youth Ministry
Our youth ministry exists to serve young people in variety of ways. We provide a variety of spaces for young people to get together with leaders and their peers, depending on where they are up to in life:
Epic Youth is a community of young people in years 7-10 at school. We meet on Friday nights for some fun and games, snacks, and opportunities to chat about life and faith with leaders & friends.
We’re always keen for new people to come and join in, so grab a flyer from the information wall at Belconnen or Gungahlin or download the Mosaic App for more information.
When: Friday nights, 7-9pm (weeks 2-9 of the ACT school terms).
Where: We normally meet at Mosaic’s Page Campus, but sometimes we meet offsite for special events.
Head to the Epic Youth Facebook Page and like us to keep up to date with what’s going on.
For those who are a bit closer to adulthood (and don’t need leaders to organise games for them) – Merge is a community of senior youth (from school year 11 onwards), who get together a couple of times a month for food, friendship, conversation, and a range of activities that are usually led or inspired by the youth themselves.
We normally meet at one of the leaders’ homes, but it’s not unusual for us to meet offsite for special events and activities as well. Contact Mandy Gray (Senior Youth Coordinatior) or Pastor Andy for more information.
When: 2nd, 4th & 5th Tuesdays of each month, 6:30pm-9:30pm.
Where: Location varies … up-to-date information is always available through our Facebook group.
More info: Check out the Mosaic App, to get connected to our Facebook group.
Thrive is a discipleship vehicle which helps young people discover ways in which they can be growing as disciples AND disciple-makers.
Young people join a Thrive cohort and journey closely with their peers and leaders for a period of about 6 months (per learning journey).
From there, ongoing mentoring is offered to help young people continue to implement and reflect on the journey they have been on.
Thrive has three separate learning journeys.
Thrive 101 is all about being a disciple, Thrive 201 focusses on partnering with Jesus in his mission, and Thrive 301 is primarily for those who want to develop their leadership gifts drawing on biblical examples of leadership.
For more information, contact Pastor Andy.
In addition to our regular youth gatherings, we also like to find opportunities to roll up our sleeves and serve others in our local community.
We normally aim to run a Serve event once each term and youth from both our Epic and Merge communities are invited to serve alongside of the leaders as we bless people who are in need of a hand.
If you have a heart to serve young people, Andy would love to hear from you and see if there is some way you can get involved wit
h our youth ministry. All our leaders are required to undergo Creating Safe Spaces training, and are
screened through interviews, reference checks,
and WWVP clearance. We also require our leaders to engage in regular in-house training, supervision meetings, and other specialised training and conferences to ensure our leadership culture and praxis are exemplary.
Looking for More?
As well as our weekly youth events, youth are welcome in all of our congregations.
Mosaic Youth has a strong friendship with the youth groups from around the region including Hughes, Canberra and Cooma Baptist churches.
We often combine for special events like camps, snow trips and all night lock-ins.
Meet the Youth Pastor – Andrew Robb
Andy likes chocolate and cheese (but not at the same time).
He drinks a bit too much coffee, uses Apple products, LOVEs motorbikes, and likes to think he’s still young enough to ride a longboard.
More than all this, he loves Jesus and is passionate about helping people to follow him and get the most out of life.
That’s probably because he also loves people. He loves spending time just chatting and having fun with friends.
Andy is married to Lisa and they have two wonderful kids (Emily and Tim), who sometimes appear at youth events.
