What is Christianity?

You are here: Home / Need Help? / What is Christianity?

Christianity is a world faith, for people of every nation and language.  The Christian faith is founded on the teachings and life of Jesus Christ around 2000 years ago.

Those who believe and follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour are called Christians.  Christianity is a way of life and Christians have been on the forefront of caring for the sick and needy, providing justice for the poor and the abused, and proclaiming salvation to the spiritually lost.

Christians meet for worship, teaching and encouragement on any day of the week and in any surroundings from the outdoors to the cathedrals.

Christianity proclaims salvation, forgiveness and hope to any person who puts their trust in Jesus.

You can find out how to become a Christian here.
