Embracing Death
From Series: "God's Story is God's Glory P"
Easter
A message from the series "God's Story is God's Glory P." Reading: John 18:1-19:42 Perhaps the most surprising way that the glory of God is seen is in the death of Jesus. The death of God is actually one of the earliest ways the Christian faith was challenged. Why follow one who so clearly suffered and died. In the pantheon of Roman gods it was the victors and conquerors who were celebrated. People worshipped the most powerful and victorious of the gods and left behind the weaker ones. Yet here was a people celebrating the humility and death of God for the world. Jesus’ story certainly does change the narrative. Today, will you take the time to hear again the radically unique story of God through the suffering, death, and burial of Jesus?
