Guarding Your Heart
Proverbs 4: 20-27 Show how Jesus guards his heart and his passions

We live in a world obsessed with outward appearance, but all of us would state that what is on the inside counts for more. Developing your character and maturing as a Christian is more important than you think. If Jesus rescued us from our sinful state that we might be made holy it stands to reason that we should work with God to develop our character to become more like Jesus. What does it mean to be more like Jesus though? Not that we become Jesus but that we become like him; like him in character, like him in thought, like him in passion, like him in purpose, like him in strategy, like him in action. Jesus truly is different from anyone who has ever lived. This series will look at how different he was and how we can be more like him.
